Born and raised in Singapore, Athena Zecha is an actress, singer, dancer, model and choreographer based in Los Angeles, California. She began dancing at the age of three and was a student of Dance Arts Singapore for 8 years. In high school, she was an active member of both the Dance and Theatre honor programs/ societies. She moved to Los Angeles in 2015, and later graduated from Whittier College with a B.A. in Theatre and Communications Arts.
In both her high school and college theatre career, she has appeared and starred in the productions of “Sweet Charity”, “Return to the Forbidden Planet”, “Eat, Play, Love”, “Eurydice” and “Pippin”.
The choreographer for Whittier College’s 2019 production of “Pippin”, she was awarded the “Meritorious Achievement Award for Choreography” from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region 8. She was also then inducted into the Alpha Psi Omega National Theatre Honor Society, for her extensive work in the college’s theatre program.
Athena is multi-lingual and speaks fluent English, with proficiency in Malay, Mandarin, and Spanish. She also speaks and continues to learn basic French, German and Italian.
She also possesses a variety of skills: horseback riding (English), scuba diving, boxing, competitive swimming, riflery, and archery.
